My name is Lucine Ksajikian, and I have the honor of serving as the FLY Youth Team President and Director, as well as the founder of the FLY UCLA Chapter — the first FLY university chapter. I am currently an undergraduate student at UCLA, majoring in Psychobiology, and I am deeply passionate about bridging medicine and public health to serve global and local communities in need.
I’ve been part of FLY for nearly two years, and with full confidence, I can say that FLY is more than just an organization — it’s the foundation for real, lasting change in our Armenian community. My connection to FLY began when my father, John Ksajikian, sponsored the Nurse’s Room at the FLY Project Center, dedicating it to my late grandmother, Dr. Lousin Ksajikian, whose compassion, warmth, and unwavering love continue to inspire me every day. Through that experience, I discovered how my passion for women’s health, advocacy, and global service seamlessly aligned with FLY’s mission.
Today, I can proudly say that being part of FLY has been one of the most fulfilling and familial experiences of my life — one that continually reminds me why I strive to serve and uplift others under the wings of FLY. I am endlessly grateful to call FLY my family and look forward to witnessing the incredible impact we will continue to make in the lives of the mothers and children we serve.
